Coordinate Measuring Machine Operator

The CMM Operator assures that internal and external customers receive quality measurement services. You will assume the responsibility for complete and accurate inspections of Engineering prototype and production parts, molds, fixtures, components and production parts.
The CMM Operator is responsible for planning work schedules with Project Engineer in order to assure timely project completion. Works closely with Engineering personnel on fixture constructions and verification. Works closely with Sales, Project and Quality Engineers, Customer representatives and Business Unit Quality personnel on new product launches and production problem resolutions.
Position specific responsibilities:
- Dimensional layouts
- Verifying wall thickness and weight of parts
- Part testing based on customer requirements
- Completion of customer requested studies, including ISIR, Gage R&R, capability studies and others
- Auditing and documenting receiving inspection of prototype components
- Others as required
We are looking for the following skills for the CMM position:
- Ability to read prints with GD&T knowledge preferred
- Math skills in geometry, trigonometry and statistics
- Good with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Able to use calipers and other quality measuring devices
- Good communication skills
A pre-employment physical & drug screen is required.
