Material Control Leader

I. Job Summary



Responsible for planning, managing, directing stores group to achieve high quality, efficient and economical stores operations. These functions must be carried out in accordance with the corporate mission, philosophy, quality and ethics guidelines. It is expected that strong emphasis be placed on prevention-based control programs. Safety, quality, efficiency, and effectiveness must be given highest concern.



II. Relevance and Importance of this Position at Centro, Inc.



The Material Control Leader is a significant position in our organization. The Material Control Leader has full responsibility for inventory accuracy and material flow. Primarily a strategic position, the Material Control Leader directly affects our quality objectives by leading and directing the business process to provide high customer satisfaction while meeting or exceeding internal business unit goals and objectives.



1. Bachelor’s degree in business or liberal arts, or equivalent education and work experience required.



2. CPIM or CSCP certified through APICS preferred.



3. An understanding of inventory management and process. 



4. Computer skills and/or aptitude to learn. 



5. Willingness to further one’s education and knowledge of Centro’s operation. 



6. Willingness to accept and embrace change in order to improve efficiencies.



Work is performed primarily in an office environment, with some periodic exposure to a manufacturing environment with temperatures ranging from 55-100 degrees F. Workdays are Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend work required. Hours are normally 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional (2) hour variances, depending on workload and other conditions. Will commit sufficient time to accomplish all job responsibilities in a timely manner.



A pre-employment drug screen & physical is required prior to employment.
