Document Control Administrative Assistant

Job Summary:
Assists the Document Control Coordinator (DCC) with the control and integrity of Quality Assurance System documentation in accordance with ISO 9001 2008 and Centro's requirements.  Interacts with Associates company wide to assure effective and timely communications and compliance regarding customer service, product and component changes and quality. (Primary function - Process Product Summary Report (PSR) Process Change Notices (PCN).

Relevance and Importance of this Position at Centro:
Document Control is an imperative function of any Quality System.  Without current and relevant documents a business cannot thrive in continuous improvement.  At Centro, we need our documents to change as we continually improve.  The Document Control Administrative Assistant (DCAA)  plays a critical role in maintaining the Quality System as a whole.  We rely heavily on the Document Control Department to keep our documents, procedures, work instructions and manual current.  They affect quality by their diligence and timely response to requested changes and effective communication of such changes.  Their ability to keep the Quality System dynamic and applicable helps Centro to achieve any of our strategic stretch goals or quality objectives.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
1. Experience and proficient in Office applications.  Aptitude to learn new applications as required.  Experience in business and technically orientated document control activities preferred.   
2. Associate degree, technical certification and/or specific training in applicable skills preferred.
3. Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communications skills required.  Must be analytically inclined and detailed orientated.  Ability to apply mathematical skills and statistics preferred.
4. Willingness to accept and embrace change in order to improve efficiencies.
5. Knowledge of and experience with Centro’s products and manufacturing & finishing operations preferred.
6. Must be able to read, write, speak, hear and see sufficiently for effective interpersonal, business and quality system communications, and to perform the essential functions of the position.  Must be able to sit for long periods of time, type proficiently, stand, walk, reach, grasp, bend, lift, and carry up to (30) pounds.
7. Ability to use office equipment, including computer, telephone, copier, FAX, & calculator required.
8. Must achieve the competencies defined in Centro’s Quality System in order to become and continue to be qualified.
8. Ability to analyze information, exercise independent judgment and solve problems.
