The ME Technician assists in designing and improving processing methods, layouts and tools, building and repairing fixtures and other production tools. Performs a wide variety of mechanical tasks. Assists in identifying and solving engineering and processing problems through root cause analysis.

Strong technical, mathematical, and mechanical knowledge and skills required. One year of direct applicable experience is desired. MIG welding proficiency is preferred. TIG welding proficiency desired. Ability to operate a wide variety of hand and power tools is required.

CNC mill and lathe programming proficiency is desired. Two years of direct machinist experience is also desired. An Associates degree, technical certifications, additional courses in machine shop technology, and AutoCAD competence highly desired. Knowledge in pneumatics, hydraulics, and PLC's is a plus.

Basic knowledge of computers and applicable software, applied math, geometry, welding, forklift operation, basic electrical wiring, and ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings required. Organizational abilities, a commitment to craftsmanship and project follow-through to completion is required.  Occasional travel required.
