The System Administrator needs to be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly and be available to respond to requests after hours. The individual should be able easily to communicate technical concerns and solutions to many different associates with varying degrees of technical knowledge as well as work with leaders in all departments to help solve their technical issues. The System Administrator is also responsible for maintaining Centro’s system infrastructure, including firewalls, servers, backing up databases, installing and updating malware software, installing and rebuilding existing servers as well as other processes.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
- An Associate's degree in an IT related emphasis is strongly preferred. A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems or a directly related computer curriculum is preferred.
- A minimum of (1) year of software maintenance, enhancement and development related employment experience is required. Experience with business and manufacturing software environments strongly preferred.
- Previous experience with Cisco, Citrix, and Windows Server 2008-2016 desired.
- Familiarity with cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or Oracle cloud is desired.
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills, and ability to work with minimum supervision are required.
Position Responsibilities:
- Assists IS Manager design, install, repair and support network and server related systems.
- Responsibility for database and operating system management of business system for Centro, Inc facilities.
- Informs IS Manager of system status, suggests system enhancements and interacts with vendors.
- Responds to network and server related emergencies, helps to coordinate repairs and full system restoration.
- Responsible for programming and software modifications to business systems and other systems assigned at Centro, Inc.
