Technical Writer/Document Control Administrative Assistant

Works closely with Project Engineering, Quality Leaders, Business Process Owners and Manufacturing Engineers in
developing clear, concise, and accurate project documentation and work instructions in a timely
manner. From existing text based work instructions, creates and implements clear, accurate, and
concise visual PSR work instructions for manufactured product in accordance with all applicable
Quality System Procedures. For each conversion project, identifies and recommends process
changes to improve safety, quality, and productivity. Ensures all changes are approved through
Centro’s PCN process. Serves as a member of the Project Launch Team to help ensure a timely
information transfer and completion of engineering activities for project launches and changes. Acts
as a manufacturing advocate within the Project Engineering Team. Performs other related
engineering, technical writing and/or manufacturing tasks as necessary or requested.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
1. High school diploma or GED required. Ability and desire to learn and apply quality techniques is
required. Relevant degrees from accredited universities and/or certifications from professional
associations such as the American Society for Quality (ASQ) or the American Society of
Manufacturing Engineers (ASME) are preferred.
2. Willingness to accept and embrace change in order to improve efficiencies.
3. Ability to work within and foster a team environment and relate well with internal customers is
required.
Knowledge of Centro’s product, customers, and manufacturing and finishing operations highly
desired.
5. Must be able to analyze facts, evaluate unique situations, and exercise discretion to determine
the most appropriate action plan and/or work sequence or method to perform job tasks
effectively.
6. A commitment to safety, quality, customer satisfaction, continuous improvement, teamwork
cooperation, workstation cleanliness, high productivity, and consistently good punctual
attendance is required.
7. This position has required competencies that must be achieved to become and remain qualified.
The competencies are detailed in Centro’s Quality System.

Work is performed primarily in an office environment, with some periodic exposure to a
manufacturing environment with temperatures ranging from 55-100 degrees F. Normal work
schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM, with some potential for occasional variances
depending on departmental workload. Will commit sufficient time to accomplish all job
responsibilities in a timely manner.

A pre-employment drug screen and physical is required.
