Mechanical Drafter

The Mechanical Drafter’s primary responsibilities will be in the creation of mold tooling and mold component specifications.  The Mechanical Drafter will work directly with Project Engineering to insure the timely and accurate completion of mold specifications using mold standards as well as best practices to insure a quality mold specification. 

An associate degree in applied science or any engineering discipline is strongly desired. Intermediate skills in Pro/Engineer or alternative 3D CAD software are required.  Must be able to import and export models, manipulate models, inquire regarding properties and dimensions, and design fixture components.  Must be able to modify 3D geometry, model mold components and create tool drawing specifications. An understanding of machining and casting process is desirable.  Must have a strong mechanical aptitude, be proficient in Microsoft Office suite, and also be able to apply principles of scientific analysis, math and physics to solve engineering problems.
