2^nd Shift Business Process Support

Centro, Inc. is now hiring for this 2^nd shift leadership and manufacturing support position. Centro is North America’s largest Custom Rotational Molder of plastic product for O.E.M. customers. We are located inside the John Deere Des Moines Works facility in Ankeny, Iowa.

Starting base wage is $12.50 per hour with pay premiums of $1.00 per hour shift differential and $2.00 per hour position premium. Total of $15.50 per hour to start. The 2^nd shift work schedule is from 3 PM – 11 PM Monday through Friday.

HS diploma is required. Technical or manufacturing certification or Associate degree is preferred. The ability to learn and apply new knowledge and skills is required. A minimum of 2 years manufacturing experience is required. Basic math skills required.

Qualified candidates support team goals and action plans. Ensure consistent high quality and timely production to meet customer requirements and exceed expectations. Trains and coaches team members to perform job duties in a safe and efficient manner. Confirms that all Centro and OSHA Safety requirements are practiced and that the Centro ISO-9001 Quality System is implemented in all manufacturing processes. Maintains high level of accurate communications among team members and the organization overall. Excellent communications, interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills are required.

Ability to use and operate wide variety of hand and power tools and equipment used in Centro’s manufacturing processes including Centro’s computer system and applicable software for production, planning and communications. Must be able to walk and be on feet for long periods of time, climb stairs, lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. Must have substantial dexterity in hands, fingers, arms and body to feel, reach, lift and bend.

Commitment to safety, quality, customer satisfaction, continuous improvement, team development, workplace cleanliness, positive attitude, high productivity and enhanced profitability is required. A valid drivers license and Centro forklift certification is preferred. Welding & cutting torch experience is preferred. This position has required competencies that must be achieved in order to become and remain qualified.
