Inspector Finishers
Centro, Inc is now hiring in our Ankeny, Iowa location on
all 3 shifts for entry level Product Inspector Finishers. Centro is North
America’s largest Custom Rotational Molder of plastic products for O.E.M.
customers.
We are
located inside the John Deere Des Moines Works facility in Ankeny, Iowa.
Starting
base wage is $12.50 per hour. There is
$1.00 per hour pay premium for 2nd or 3rd shift.
1st shift schedule is from 7 AM - 3PM Monday
through Friday. 2nd shift work schedule is from 3 PM – 11 PM Monday
through Friday. 3rd shift work schedule is from 11 PM – 7 AM Sunday
through Thursday.
It is a medium level industrial labor position using various
hand and power tools to finish, inspect, assemble and package product according
to customer specifications, Centro Safety and ISO 9001 Quality System
procedures. Maintains efficiency and scrap standards. Involves periodic lifting
of up to 60 lbs., and the ability to be on your feet for long periods of time.
It is not assembly line work. You are not tied to a single
workstation performing the same task over and over again day after day. Lose
the boredom and be able to move around in the work environment.
Involves computer use to access work instructions, safety
system procedures, quality system procedures, forms, e-mail communications,
etc., on a daily basis. Must be detail oriented, able to strictly follow
detailed work instructions, and able to effectively detect and communicate
molding defects in the plastic products. Must also create and maintain accurate
records.
Excellent attendance and punctuality is expected and
required in order to remain qualified for employment. Commitment to Safety,
