Responsible
to perform resin pulverization, blending, weighting and granulation activities
in an accurate and on-time manner.
Promotes and applies the Centro Quality System and Safety in all resin
related operations. Serves as a member
of the Resin Teams and receives cross training in other jobs when called upon
to do so.
Starting pay is $19.75/hour! Both A shift and B shift available!
A shift:
- Tue-Thu, 6am - 12pm
- Fri-Sat, 6am - 6pm
B Shift:
- Sun-Mon, 6am – 6 pm
- Tue-Thu, 12pm – 6pm
The quality of our raw materials is
foundational and absolutely critical in Centro's ability to mold a quality
product. The Resin Technician monitors
the quality of the material throughout receipt, pulverization, and
blending. By following defined processes
with accuracy and attention to detail, the Resin Technician plays a very
important role in the achievement of Centro's strategic plan stretch goals and
quality objectives.
Must be a high
school graduate or possess a GED.
Additional training and experience in material handling, resin blending and weighing, shipping &
receiving and scales and computer use preferred. Experience in a manufacturing environment
preferred. Familiarity with Centro
manufacturing operations preferred.
Must
be able to organize and implement in a safe, timely and accurate manner all
resin blending, weighing, pulverization & granulation operations. Must be able to use effectively and
accurately use a digital load cell scale.
Organizational
skills, attention to detail and the ability to follow detailed instructions are
required.
Ability
to communicate orally and in writing (with legible handwriting) is required. Ability
to use personal computer and related software to create container labels is
required.
Mechanical
skills to perform preventative and corrective action on assigned equipment are
required.
Must
be able to see, read, write, speak and hear sufficiently for effective
interpersonal communications to perform job. Must be able to judge depth, read
scales accurately, perform basis math functions & fractions and distinguish
colors and variances accurately. Must be
able to walk, stand for long periods of time, climb stairs, periodically lift
and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds, reach bend grasp and handle
objects. Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with temperature
ranges of 55-110 degrees F.
Must
be able to use telephone, calculator, fax machine, copier, stopwatch and
personal protection devices.
Ability
and desire to learn and be cross-trained in other material handling jobs is
required.
A pre-employment physical and drug will be required prior to employment.
