Skills & Recruiting Coordinator

The Skills and Recruiting Coordinator plays a vital role in the success of our Associates by conducting meaningful day one orientation, impactful training, and ongoing mentorship so they can contribute to their full potential and build depth for our business. The Skills and Recruiting Coordinator also helps us find the best people by assisting in the recruiting, selection and hiring process. This person is often the first point of contact for someone coming to Centro, and the Skills and Recruiting Coordinator position is what allows Centro to continue to meet and exceed our goals.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and electronic mediums and oral presentations.
  • Previous experience in a role that involves relaying and demonstrating skills or presenting information preferred.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and analytical skills. Detail and task completion orientated.
  • Ability to use a computer and word processing, database and spreadsheet software and common office equipment effectively.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of safety requirements as required by OSHA
  • Previous recruiting experience is preferred, but not required.

Specific Position Responsibilities: Depending upon assignment, the Skills and Recruiting Coordinator may perform some or all of the following:

  • Facilitates the Basic Manufacturing Skills Training Program, complying with the requirements of Centro’s Quality Assurance System. Assists in the design and development of other internal training programs as needed.
  • Conducts Corporate Orientation with all new hire Associates, complying with the requirements of the Centro ISO 9001 Quality System.
  • Leads new hires through the enhanced training program and subsequent verification of the effectiveness of training and/or achievement of the needed competency in which he or she is qualified to do so.
  • The Skills and Recruiting Coordinator is qualified to provide training and verify competency in any area in which they have been trained and deemed competent.
  • Serves as a mentor to all new hire manufacturing Associates throughout their orientation/training process, helping to build a positive relationship and assure their success on the job.
  • Assists in general recruiting activities such as initial interviews, resume reviews, recommendations, and creating job postings.
