Human Resources Intern

The Human Resources (HR) Intern will support the HR team in various administrative tasks and initiatives to ensure smooth HR operations. The HR Intern will assist in the recruitment and onboarding process, employee file management, benefits administration, and other HR-related tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the recruitment and selection process, including posting job vacancies, reviewing resumes, scheduling interviews, conducting reference checks, and preparing offer letters.
  • Coordinate and assist in the onboarding process for new hires, including conducting new hire orientation, collecting and processing new hire paperwork, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee files, both physical and electronic, ensuring that all required documents are included and up-to-date.
  • Assist in administering employee benefits, including processing enrollments, changes, and terminations, and responding to employee inquiries.
  • Assist in the preparation of HR-related reports and presentations, including headcount reports, turnover reports, and training reports.
  • Provide administrative support to the HR team, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas and meeting minutes, and filing documents.
  • Participate in special HR projects, as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a program such as Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Physical Demands:

This job may require the employee to sit or stand for extended periods of time, lift up to 25 pounds, and perform repetitive motions.

Working Conditions:

This job is primarily performed in a mixed environment that includes office and manufacturing. The HR Intern may be required to work occasional weekends or evenings, depending on business needs.
