The Corporate Safety and Environmental Assistant will serve an active role in supporting Centro’s Corporate Safety and Environmental initiatives. They will assist in tracking and monitoring proactive safety activities to help identify and mitigate safety risks. Responsible for tracking required OSHA and Environmental compliance activities to ensure alignment at both the Enterprise and Business Unit Levels.  They will maintain critical OSHA records, compliance documents and written programs, as defined by OSHA and other regulatory agencies.  Assist with effective incident case management supporting early intervention programs along with root cause analysis and corrective action.  Another responsibility is to closely monitor Worker’s Compensation cases and interface with our Worker’s Compensation Insurance Carrier to minimize lost time.  Responsibilities also include compiling, analyzing and interpreting statistical data with regard to injury and illness trends and making recommendations. They will also identify, communicate, and implement best practices in Safety across all Centro Locations while supporting our Quality System Objectives through process adherence.

A Bachelor’s degree in business or liberal arts, or equivalent education and work experience is preferred. Knowledge and abilities relating to occupational safety and health is required.  A thorough knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access and Word, is also required.  The qualified individual will also need to be highly motivated and have a strong attention to detail.
